About SLOD!

SLOD! is an online real estate bidding facility

Sale by Lawyer Online Direct (SLOD!) is the means by which Lawyers Real Estate markets and negotiates the sale of clients’ properties. SLOD! is simple, safe and swift, with no obligation created unless and until a formal, hard-copy Contract of Sale of Real Estate has been signed by both parties.

A potential purchaser may bid online direct, or submit hard-copy bids by fax, email, post or in person. [For more information see How To Bid]SLOD! is an online real estate bidding system.

Obligation free bidding

SLOD! allows purchasers to prepare and submit their bid on the property in an auction-like procedure. Unlike an auction, however, the full range of purchaser type is catered for, including buyers requiring bank finance or other conditions.

While SLOD! encourages competitive bidding, there is no instant sale on the fall of the hammer. Instead, the final price is negotiated between the vendor’s lawyer and the purchaser and/or the purchaser’s legal representative.

Nothing is final unless and until both parties are satisfied, and contracts have been formally signed. No estate agents, no tricks and no pressure on either party.

Negotiations

By providing purchasers and vendors with a safer, simpler and more transparent negotiation process, we are able to deliver the best possible outcomes with regard to price and sale terms.

All are welcome

A major advantage for all parties is that SLOD is inclusive rather than exclusive. First home buyers, those relying on bank finance, and careful purchasers who require building or pest inspections, are all able to bid on a property – something that is not permitted in conventional real estate auctions.

No dummy bidding

There is no dummy bidding with SLOD. Bidders are identified and their bids verified, and an audit trail is maintained to ensure the integrity of the system.

Nothing is final until the contract is signed

Safety for vendors and purchasers is further assured by the SLOD! concept of completing bidding and negotiations before a formal contract is prepared.. No contract is prepared until the vendor has made the final choice of purchaser. When the contract is prepared, it is delivered to the purchaser for checking by the purchaser’s legal representative before submission as a final offer. This ensures that there is never any confusion over whether or not the property has been sold.

That’s the SLOD method - simple, safe and transparent.  [For more information see: SLOD! - How It Works]
